In short

Who we are and what applies

Sfuma is provided by NameVerse, Inc. (“we”, “us”), United States (full postal address on request by email), [email protected]. Your license to use the app is granted under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Apple EULA”). These terms add to it. If the two conflict on the license itself, the Apple EULA prevails. These terms also cover the sfuma.cam website and the in-app feedback service. By using Sfuma you agree to them.

Who can use Sfuma

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you and is responsible for purchases. Sending feedback that includes a photo requires you to be 18 or older, or to have a parent’s or guardian’s permission.

What is free and what the Unlock adds

Free, for as long as you use the app: every editing tool, the free look library, the camera, pasting recipe codes from others, and full-resolution export with no watermark.

The Unlock adds: sharing your own looks as recipe codes, the full look library (28 looks beyond the free 50), removal of ads, and any feature we describe as part of the Unlock in the app or on the App Store at the time you buy.

The first 30 days. For your first 30 days the app shows no ads. The current version shows no ads at all. If we introduce ads later, they will appear only between edits (after an export or when you return to the app), never during editing, and the Unlock removes them. The 30 days are not a subscription trial. Nothing is charged when they end, and there is nothing to cancel.

Purchases, renewals and refunds

Annual Unlock (auto-renewing subscription, 1 year). Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically for another year at the then-current price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel it at any time in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone. If you cancel, the Unlock stays active until the end of the period you paid for.

Lifetime Unlock (one-time, non-consumable purchase). You pay once and keep the Unlock for as long as the app is available to you on the App Store, on devices signed in with the same Apple Account. Use “Restore purchase” in Settings or on the Unlock screen to bring it back on a new device.

Prices are set per App Store country and shown, with applicable taxes, in the app and by Apple before you confirm. They can differ between countries and change over time. Apple tells you about a subscription price increase in advance and, where required, asks for your agreement.

Apple is the seller. In-app purchases are sold and billed by Apple under the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. Apple handles payment, receipts, cancellations and refunds. To ask for a refund, go to reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds ourselves because we never receive your payment details. If the App Store page for a purchase shows Family Sharing, it can be shared that way.

If you are a consumer in Turkey. The distance contract for an in-app purchase is concluded through the App Store, and Apple provides the pre-contract information, the receipt and the cancellation process. Under the Distance Contracts Regulation (Mesafeli Sözleşmeler Yönetmeliği), the right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content delivered instantly, but Apple’s terms may still allow a refund. Your rights under Consumer Protection Law No. 6502 are not affected. That includes your right to end a subscription at any time, the same way you started it, through your Apple ID.

If you are a consumer in the EU or UK. Your statutory rights, including any right of withdrawal or cancellation that Apple’s terms provide, are not affected.

Using Sfuma responsibly

You may use Sfuma for any lawful purpose, including commercial work on your own photos. You agree not to:

Your photos and your feedback

Your photos are yours. Sfuma edits them on your phone. We don’t receive them and we claim no rights over them or over your edits.

Feedback you send. When you send a report, you give NameVerse, Inc. a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, copy, view and process the photos, files and text you include. That license is only for investigating, reproducing and resolving the problem you reported, and for checking that the resolution works. We do not publish your feedback, use it for marketing or advertising, or use it to train AI models. Our privacy policy explains who helps us with this and for how long files are kept. The license ends for files when they are deleted, and for text when you delete the report. You can delete a report at any time in “My reports”.

By sending a report, you confirm that you have the right to send its contents and that anyone recognizable in an attached photo is fine with it. Ideas and suggestions you send (as opposed to your photos) can be used to improve Sfuma without any obligation to you.

If you believe a report sent to us contains your photo or your work without permission, email [email protected] with the details and we will remove it.

Recipes, looks and creator codes

A recipe code (like SF-2400-CCW0) is a set of edit settings. Anyone with Sfuma can paste one for free. You are responsible for the codes and links you share. We don’t claim ownership of the looks you create, and a combination of settings generally isn’t something anyone can own. Others may arrive at the same look independently.

If we offer named creator looks, names are given at our discretion. We may refuse, change or retire a name that is misleading, offensive, infringes someone’s rights, or is no longer in use. A named look gives you no ownership, trademark or exclusive right in the name or the look.

The looks that come with Sfuma, the app, the Sfuma name and logo belong to us or our licensors. You may use them only within the app.

Results and advice

How an edit looks depends on your photo, the light and your device. Keeping skin tone true is how we design and test our tools, but we can’t promise a particular result for every photo. Sfuma is a creative photo tool. It is not medical, dermatological or cosmetic advice, and edited images may not show how someone looks in reality. If you are worried about your skin or your body, please talk to a professional.

Changes to the app and the service

We improve Sfuma over time and may add, change or remove features. We won’t take away a feature that is part of the Unlock you bought during a paid annual period without a fair alternative or the remedies consumer law gives you. The feedback service and sfuma.cam may sometimes be unavailable, and we may limit or stop the feedback service for anyone who misuses it.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Sfuma is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties beyond those the law requires. Keep your own backups: your photos live on your device, and we can’t restore what is lost there.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the Unlock in the 12 months before the claim and USD 50.

None of this limits liability that cannot be limited by law. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, and for intent or gross negligence (under Turkish law, Article 115 of the Code of Obligations). It also doesn’t limit your rights under mandatory consumer law, such as Turkish Law No. 6502 or EU and UK consumer law.

Apple

These terms are between you and NameVerse, Inc., not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Sfuma or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app. We, not Apple, are responsible for handling any claim about the app, including product liability, failure to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection, privacy, and claims that the app infringes someone’s intellectual property. You confirm that you are not in a country under a U.S. Government embargo and are not on a U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Ending these terms

You can stop using Sfuma at any time by deleting the app. Cancel an annual Unlock in your Apple Account settings so it doesn’t renew. We may end or suspend your use of the feedback service if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which NameVerse, Inc. is incorporated, and by United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located there have jurisdiction, except as set out next.

If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in your local courts. In Turkey, you may apply to the consumer arbitration committee (Tüketici Hakem Heyeti) or the consumer court (Tüketici Mahkemesi) where you live, within the limits set by law. Please contact us first. Most problems are resolved faster that way.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We change the date at the top, and for significant changes we tell you in the app or on this page before they take effect. A change never applies retroactively to a subscription period you have already paid for. If you don’t agree with a change, you can stop using Sfuma and cancel the annual Unlock.
